Resilient Roots
Climate-Smart Agriculture & Food Systems
Farmer Feedback
Hearing from farmers is the first - and most important - part of our Resilient Roots programming.

The Climate Science Alliance and our collaborating project partners seek experiences, insights, and input from a diverse group of producers across the region through a series of workshops funded by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA).

These workshops will gather growers, scientists, technical advisors, and partners to discuss regionally-specific climate science and share opportunities, recommendations, and strategies for building on-the-ground resilience. These discussions will help guide CDFA’s activities and funding priorities in support of southern California’s agricultural communities and specialty crop industry in the face of a changing climate. Scroll down to learn more about how the Climate Science Alliance is connecting with farmers to support regional resilience.

Carbon Sink
Farming Convergence
at Pauma Tribal Farms

The Alliance team collaborated with Solidarity Farm and Pauma Tribal Farms for their first Carbon Sink Farming Convergence on November 4th - 5th. The Convergence provided an opportunity for diverse individuals to come together, share land-based strategies and solutions to climate change, and discuss ways to support and advance these actions across the region.
