Please join us for a Climate Change Mini-Forum!

In the spirit of information sharing and increasing awareness and understanding of climate impacts and solutions in our region, the Climate Science Alliance staff will be hosting a series of lecture/discussion sessions.

Our speaker for our eighth forum is Ashley Rankin, Graduate Student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

Ashley will be discussing the process and impacts of ocean acidification, while highlighting her work assessing the effects of ocean acidification on the behavior and energetics of a local species of decorator crabs. In addition, she will also discuss and demonstrate the ocean acidification module that is being taught to middle and high school students as part of the Alliance’s Climate Kids program. Ashley is currently a climate intern with Climate Science Alliance while finishing graduate school at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
