CSA Hosts Interactive Climate Training for Educators

The Climate Science Alliance hosted a Climate Change Education Training on September 27, 2017 in partnership with SDG&E at the Energy Innovation Center in San Diego. The workshop gave 44 educators new tools and approaches for engaging the public on climate science. The training provided resources and hands on activities led by Climate Science Alliance staff and partnering organizations such as the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve, Cabrillo National Monument, Earth Discovery Institute, San Diego Coastkeeper, and Climate Science Alliance affiliated artist Claudia Lyra. Participants had the opportunity to learn about current climate science, regional impacts, and hands on climate change communication and education strategies. This fun and informative training gave 40 different institutions additional resources and ideas to support their efforts to bring climate messages into their programming and outreach activities.

A huge thank you to SDG&E, all of our presenters, and attendees for making this training a huge success!
