The “Tree of Change”, created by the public in pop-up Sustainability Studio in Balboa Park and then featured in our Art of Change traveling climate-art show, has been returned to our partners at the Balboa Park Cultural Partnership Sustainability Program (BPSP). In their recent Quarterly Sustainability Newsletter, BPSP highlighted the “Tree of Change” and their partnership with the Alliance.
“We'd like to thank our community partner, the Climate Science Alliance, for touring our ‘Tree of Change’ in their Art of Change exhibit featuring creative climate inspired artwork by local children, artists, and members of the community. Through the exhibit tour, the Tree of Change traveled from our pop-up Sustainability Studio in Balboa Park to the Del Mar Library and then to the Imperial Beach Library. The tree grew in foliage with the addition of hand ‘leaves’ with written pledges made by visitors stating how they plan to be sustainable in their daily lives. Many were inspired by Climate Science Alliance's 10 Things I Can Do to Help poster.”
