The Climate Science Alliance was excited to join the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) for “Hopeful & Inspired: A Community Restorative Circle on Climate Action” this past February to discuss climate impacts in our community and solutions moving forward.

This event, hosted by the NCRC, continued the conversation held last month with San Diego’s Community Hero - Dr. Amber Pairis, Director of the Climate Science Alliance. The NCRC and KPBS named Dr. Pairis as their most recent Community Hero for her climate change work in San Diego and beyond. Learn more about the award here.

Attendees to the dialogue, met a wide variety of fellow San Diegans who are passionate about climate action, got the opportunity to learn what's happening in the community, and shared their unique perspective on how climate is impacting them and what they are doing about it.

Artwork from Climate Science Alliance Affiliated Artist Audrey Carver was on display to help inspire the conversation through art and storytelling. Her pieces, Faces of Change, visualize the climate impacts to San Diego’s natural and human communities.

Thank you to all who came out and participated in this important discussion!
