Farm Apprenticeship Program

About

The Paradise Tribal Farm Apprenticeship Progam offers Tribal community members hands-on training, mentorship, and education in sustainable agiculture and environmental stewardship. Funding from the Small Grants Program helps support an apprentice and the lead farmer at Paradise Tribal Farm to work together once a week for three months to co-create a thriving agricultural community.

Involving Tribal community members integrates traditional knowledge into modern agricultural techniques, fostering holistic environmental sustainability. As apprentices gain experience, they revitalize traditional farming practices, promoting biodiversity, soil health, and water conservation.

The Climate Science Alliance's Reciprocity and Regranting Program is one of several ways that we fill a unique space that is critical to advancing a just and equitable future in a climate changed world.
