About
On October 5, 2024 the Los Coyotes Band of Cahuilla & Cupeño Indians hosted their first annual Traditional Gathering at the Los Coyotes Campground. The event included a 5K run, bird singing, craft vendors, food booths, and games. The small grant award from the Climate Science Alliance supported event logistics including portable restrooms, tables and chairs for dining, and event signage. The Alliance team supplemented this award with design support for the vectorization of a hand-drawn logo that was selected from a community contest to be printed on the event T-shirts and event signage. The Alliance is committed to providing support beyond funding, through technical and staff support to help our partners achieve their desired goals.
The Climate Science Alliance's Reciprocity and Regranting Program is one of several ways that we fill a unique space that is critical to advancing a just and equitable future in a climate changed world.
