About
With the goal of promoting the sustainability and climate resilience of the city of Ensenada, Baja California, this project aims to create interwoven ecological corridors and green routes as a solution to urban heat islands. Through the exploration of microclimatic conditions and their relationship to the degradation of a river-adjacent corridor in the Doña Petra Canyon, the scientists behind this project are creating a valuable dataset that will help inform solutions to reduce the impacts of urban heat islands in the city.
The Climate Science Alliance's Reciprocity and Regranting Program is one of several ways that we fill a unique space that is critical to advancing a just and equitable future in a climate changed world.
