Climate Kids Traveling Trunks are Now Available!

Bring fun and interactive activities to your programs by checking out one of our FREE traveling trunks!

Climate Kids Traveling Trunks provide all the resources you need to teach climate science principles to youth and families. Each trunk includes background information, lesson plans, powerpoints, activities, and materials to increase climate literacy. Our three trunks feature interactive and hands on science, storytelling and art curriculum aligned with Next Generation Science Standards.

Which Traveling Trunk Will You Choose?

Carnivores and Wildlife Connectivity (K-8): Through science, art, and storytelling activities, students will gain an understanding of what carnivores are, the role they play in the environment, and how a changing climate and increased human activity will impact wildlife connectivity patterns.

Oceans (K-8): Discover impacts of climate change to marine ecosystems through science, art, and storytelling activities.

  • Ocean Acidification: Students will learn about the importance of marine ecosystems and how these ecosystems are being impacted by climate change and ocean acidification.

  • Ocean Warming: Students will gain an understanding of the current science behind ocean warming and the impacts rising ocean temperatures have on marine organisms vital to the food web.

Pollinators (K-5) : Through science, art, and storytelling activities, students will gain an understanding of what pollinators are, their important role in our lives, and how a changing climate and increased human activity will affect them and our food production.

The trunks can be checked out for a period of two weeks and picked up from our headquarters off of Ruffin Road in central San Diego. Space is limited, so reserve yours before it is gone!
