On July 25, 2018 tribal youth from the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians attended a Climate Kids-Tribes field trip to the San Diego Zoo. The group participated in a "Watershed Scavenger Hunt" created using the Zoo’s self-guided watershed curriculum with an additional "Color Your Own Watershed" climate change activity. The Alliance has been working with the San Diego Zoo to help integrate more climate change themes into their programming and we were excited to bring youth out to learn more!
The Alliance has partnered with the San Pasqual Band over the past year bringing educational Climate Kids activities to their Earth Day and “Adopt a Creek” events. We are so grateful for our continued partnership! The Alliance will be providing activities in September as a part of our tribal integration project with Whale Tail.
