The Alliance Attends International Association of Wildland Fire Conference


In May, Climate Science Alliance Tribal Capacities and Partnerships Program Manager Will Madrigal, Jr. attended the International Association of Wildland Fire 2022 Fire and Climate Conference.




In May, Climate Science Alliance Tribal Capacities and Partnerships Program Manager Will Madrigal, Jr. participated in the International Association of Wildland Fire 2022 Fire and Climate Conference.


The focus of this year’s International Association of Wildland Fire conference was “building a global approach to the wildfire challenge.” By bringing together people from across the globe, allowed for participants to learn from each other lessons learned on wildland fire management. Will took part in a panel featuring indigenous practitioners working on various aspects of bringing good fire to the land. The event was well attended with lots of opportunities for listening and learning.
