This holiday season, the Climate Science Alliance teamed up with CSA Affiliated Artist Joan Green and San Diego Green Drinks to encourage the community to lower their impact on the earth and chose the art of reuse.

Green Drinks is an informal monthly meetup of environmentally minded people to connect on pressing topics in our community. Green Drinks participants were encouraged with simple tips to adopt a reuse mindset and ways of reusing, borrowing, sharing, instead of buying new. The Climate Science Alliance shared with attendees about local climate impacts and the importance of recycling and reuse to lower our climate footprint on the earth. Joan Green, owner of Green Art Labs and Alliance Affiliated Artist, led the group in gift making with reusable materials to create homemade cards, wrapping paper, and crafty burlap pouches.
