We’re hosting two events in collaboration with our community partners on October 3rd and 6th. We are honored to support the week’s programming as a Surf Sponsor. Creating the Climate Future We Want: Art, Hope, and Community-Led Stewardship

Kumeyaay land, San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge
Join us for our San Diego Climate Week event held on Kumeyaay lands at the beautiful Sweetwater Marsh. You’ll celebrate the successes of community-led conservation and restoration efforts from our 2026 Giving Cycle, and immerse yourself in the artwork created by the 2026 Plurinational Climate Art Fellows.
During the event you’ll have the opportunity to wander the marsh trails while viewing Hear Our Names interpretive signs, experience artwork inspired by climate hope, and hear directly from awardees leading community stewardship efforts throughout Southern California.
We invite you to come and be inspired by what is possible when we center community, art, and collaboration.
Fire Summit

Kumeyaay land, San Diego Natural History Museum
Join us for the San Diego Climate Week Fire Summit, a gathering focused on sharing and exploring our relationships with fire—through collaboration, education, and collective action. The Summit brings together the visionaries, emergency responders, scientists, Indigenous knowledge holders, community leaders, climate policy experts, and environmental practitioners working to create a safer, more informed and fire-resilient San Diego region.
Together, we will explore the diverse relationships that our communities have with fire through a partner showcase, short film screenings, a “fire-side” panel, and more.
We hope you’ll join the Alliance team and our fellow co-hosts for the Summit’s inclusive conversations related to fire stewardship, fire ecology, local biodiversity, climate adaptation, Traditional Ecological Knowledge, good fire, and the importance of collaboration. Register here!
