Climate Kids student ambassadors were featured on KUSI news at the PB EcoDistrict Holiday Lane event, sharing the mission of the Alliance and engaging the community on climate change action.

On December 14, 2019 the community of Pacific Beach gathered along Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach for a PB EcoDistrict Holiday Lane event focused on preserving and protecting the coastal communities of San Diego. Local, eco-conscious exhibitors brought interactive activities to the educational fair and the Climate Science Alliance provided hands-on Climate Kids (CK) activities. Twelve CK Ambassadors from Mission Bay High School joined Alliance staff to teach their local community about climate change.

At the event, the Climate Science Alliance was featured on the KUSI news! During a live interview with meteorologist Mark Mathis, Climate Kids Program Manager Laura Hampton and Climate Kids Club presidents Ashley and Jesse shared the mission of the Alliance and its Climate Kids program. Our team was so excited to engage the broader audience of San Diego.

It is great to see our recently trained ambassadors in action! Find out more about this program and successes at https://www.climatekids.org/ambassadors.
