The Climate Science Alliance recently partnered with Scripps Community Outreach for Public Education (SCOPE) to build a customized Oceans Traveling Trunk for their educational efforts and trained staff to incorporate climate change rotations in their field trip programming.

SCOPE is a volunteer organization based at Scripps Institution of Oceanography composed of graduate students and researchers. SCOPE connects students to the incredible science conducted at Scripps. By partnering with the Climate Science Alliance, SCOPE will host 5 Climate Kids field trips at their campus facilities. These field trips will tie in key climate messages while providing research tours of the Ellen Browning Scripps Memorial Pier and Hubbs Research Aquarium.

We look forward to our ongoing partnership with SCOPE at Scripps and commend them for their awesome work engaging hundreds of San Diego youth in science programming.

Traveling Trunks were made possible by support of our partners, including San Diego Gas & Electric (Environmental Champions) and California Coastal Commission (Whale Tail Grant). Thank you!

An Alliance for you, for me, and for us.
