San Diego’s only National Park – Cabrillo National Monument – and the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation partnered with the Climate Science Alliance to better integrate climate science into their community outreach offerings.

As a part of their Community Outreach Initiative, San Diego’s only National Park - Cabrillo National Monument – and their non-profit partner the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation partnered with the Climate Science Alliance to better integrate climate science into their offerings.

The Climate Science Alliance created a “Climate Science and Pollinators” Traveling Trunk for the park to be used in educating students and community members throughout San Diego on the important role pollinators play in our ecosystems and how climate change is impacting critical relationship between plants and pollinators. The Pollinator Traveling Trunk provides educators the tools to effectively disseminate climate science through hands-on activities, storytelling, and art.

Thank-you to the National Park Service for their continued partnership and dedication to climate education in our community. To learn more about the Climate Kids program, please visit: www.climatekids.org
