Our Climate Kids team was excited to team up with the San Pasqual Tribal Environmental Department and their Youth Wellness Ambassadors to brainstorm and create fun, interactive, environmentally-focused activities to connect their community to the environmental topics they care about.
The Youth Wellness Ambassadors are a new program of the San Pasqual Tribal Environmental Department that supports youth to engage in the Tribal environmental dialogue and take initiative to promote environmental education and wellness with the Tribe.
Our staff presented the students with several engaging examples of how the Climate Science Alliance connects the public to climate messages and then together we brainstormed different ideas to create or modify activities to connect to their chosen audience. Over the next few weeks, the students will be developing their activities and talking points to present their work to the Tribe and other students in their community. We are so excited to see what they come up with!
