On August 17, 2024 our partners at Tipey Joa Native Warriors hosted their first-ever Summer Matayuum event. The event was held on Kumeyaay land in Old Town San Diego, at the Kosai Kumeyaay Market. The Climate Science Alliance was honored to support this special event and spend time in community with partners and good friends. We look forward to next year’s event!

Thank you to everyone that came out to support our first every Summer Matayuum. We are happy to say it was a success and we are so grateful for all the support. We would like to thank the Green Team from @groundworksandiego for bringing the youth volunteers out to learn about the organization and assist in building the Awa. To @climatesciencealliance for your support with waters and snacks and thank you to San Diego City College for bringing out native plant species for the start of our native plant garden. We hope to see you all at next years event!
