Tribal Nations News Highlights Climate Science Alliance Events

Tribal Nations News LLC was founded by long-time Alliance partners and Affiliated Artists, Condor Visual Media, to provide a local source of original video content from the Tribal Nations of San Diego. The Climate Science Alliance is honored to be long-time partners with the incredible team at Condor Visual Media, who have been a part of our team as Affiliated Artists, Climate Art Fellows, and close collaborators on many important projects. This year, Condor Visual Media founded Tribal Nations News LLC, providing a local source of original video content from the Tribal Nations of San Diego.

Coastal Sage Scrub Restoration Training

The Coastal Sage Scrub Restoration Training brought over 20 participants of the Stewardship Pathways program to gather on Kumeyaay land for a day of hands-on coastal sage scrub restoration work, pulling introduced species and planting native plants at the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

Firefighter Training at La Jolla

The Basic Firefighter Classes at La Jolla, held in the first week of January 2023, supported participants with no experience in wildland fire and who hoped to qualify as firefighters and incident and support personnel.

Cultural Burning Demonstration & Awareness Workshop

The Cultural Burning Demonstration & Awareness Day on January 17, 2023 was held in collaboration with Climate Science Alliance, La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians, California State Parks, Cal Fire, and Southern California Interagency Wildland Fire & Fuels Cadre.
